Working principle of agricultural machinery castings
Apr 17, 2025
The working principle of agricultural machinery castings mainly includes the following steps:
Smelting: Heat the selected metal or alloy to above the melting point to turn it into liquid metal. Smelting often uses equipment such as electric furnaces, resistance furnaces or incinerators to heat the metal to the required temperature.
Pouring: Pour the molten metal into the casting cavity. The casting temperature, pouring speed and pouring method need to be controlled to ensure that the metal fully fills the inside of the mold and is evenly distributed.
Cooling and solidification: During the cooling and solidification process in the casting cavity, the molten metal gradually changes from liquid to solid to form the outline of the required parts. Different cooling rates will affect the structure and performance of the parts.
Removing the mold: After the casting is completely solidified, the parts need to be removed from the mold. Be careful when removing the mold to avoid damaging the parts.
Subsequent processing: Some casting parts may require further processing and treatment, such as trimming, polishing, heat treatment, etc., to improve their precision and performance.
