Daily maintenance of pump castings
Apr 05, 2025
The daily maintenance of pump castings mainly includes the following aspects:
Develop a scientific maintenance plan: According to the frequency of use and working conditions of the pump, develop a detailed maintenance cycle table. Clearly define the daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly maintenance content, such as daily inspection of operating parameters, weekly inspection of the sealing system status, monthly lubrication maintenance, and quarterly comprehensive performance testing. The maintenance plan needs to be flexibly adjusted in combination with the actual operating conditions of the equipment to ensure that the maintenance work is carried out in an orderly manner.
Pay attention to the status of key components: In daily maintenance, focus on checking the seals, bearings, impellers and other key components of the water pump. Check whether the seals are aging and worn, whether the bearings have abnormal sounds or overheating, and whether the impeller is corroded and worn. Once a component is found to be abnormal, analyze the cause in time and take corresponding measures, and replace it if necessary to prevent small problems from turning into major failures.
Do a good job in lubrication management: In harsh environments, lubricants are prone to deterioration and failure, and the lubrication link needs to be strictly controlled. Lubricants with good high temperature resistance can be selected, and the amount and status of lubricants can be checked regularly, and deteriorated greases can be replenished or replaced in time. When adding or replacing grease, ensure that the lubrication parts are clean to avoid impurities from mixing in, ensure the normal operation of the lubrication system, and reduce the friction loss of components.
Monitoring changes in operating parameters: Real-time monitoring of the operating parameters of the water pump, including temperature, pressure, flow, vibration value, etc. By comparing the normal operating parameter range, abnormal fluctuations in parameters can be discovered in time. Once the parameters deviate, immediately analyze the cause to determine whether it is caused by equipment failure or changes in operating conditions, take targeted measures to adjust, and maintain the pump operating under stable conditions.
Maintain a clean environment for the equipment: Regularly clean the surface of the pump body and the surrounding environment to prevent the accumulation of debris. For open pump bodies, protective covers can be installed to reduce the intrusion of dust and foreign matter. At the same time, keep the working area of the equipment well ventilated to facilitate heat dissipation and create a good operating environment for the water pump.
Regularly check and replace seals: For mechanical seals, check their sealing conditions regularly. When the leakage exceeds the standard, stop the pump and check the sealing device. For pumps with packing seals, regularly check the leakage at the stuffing box to ensure that it is within the normal range.
