Working Principle Of Pump Castings
May 01, 2025
The working principle of pump castings mainly involves the design and operation mechanism of the pump. Take for example, its working principle is as follows:
The cast iron pneumatic diaphragm pump uses compressed air as a power source to drive the diaphragm of the pump to reciprocate. There are two symmetrical working chambers A and B in the pump body, each of which is equipped with a diaphragm connected by a central connecting rod. Compressed air enters the valve through the air inlet, pushing the diaphragm of one of the working chambers to move, while the air in the other working chamber is discharged. When the diaphragm of one of the working chambers moves to the end of the stroke, the valve mechanism automatically switches the compressed air to the other working chamber, so that the two diaphragms reciprocate continuously and synchronously.
This design enables the pump to continuously inhale and discharge liquid. When compressed air enters one working chamber, the diaphragm in the working chamber moves to the right, pushing the liquid in from the inlet and discharged through the outlet; at the same time, the liquid in the other working chamber is squeezed and discharged through the other outlet. This periodic inhalation and discharge process realizes the continuous delivery of liquid.
